■ 시놉시스
아이를 잃고 난 후의 슬픔과 절망, 공허함이 가득한 엄마의 집.
아이를 맞이하려고 준비한 동안 어느새 아이의 장난감(오르골,모빌)으로 엄마의 마음은 기쁨과 환희로 가득찼다.
엄마의 방에서 아기와 바다로 우주로여행을 시작하는데....
A mother's room which is full of sadness, despair and emptiness after a miscarriage.
While preparing to greet her baby, the mother's heart was fully filled with happiness and the room was filled with baby toys (Orgel, Mobile etc).
From the mother's room she begins her journey into sea and space with her baby.
■ 연출의도
이것은 유산에 관한 이야기이다. 유산을 한 엄마의상실감,슬픔, 자책감같은 감정들을 빈 집이라는 상징으로 표현하였다.
빈집은 아이에겐 자궁이라는 공간이고 엄마에겐 감정의 방이다. 엄마의방은 슬픔으로 채워지고 극복해가는 과정에서 비워진다. 다시찾아올 생명의 기대로 다시 채워져간다.
아이의 방 자궁은 아이에겐 무한한공간 우주,바다,놀이터가 된다. 그 곳에서 아이는 행복하게 잘 있다가 떠난다.
작품에 나오는 오르골과모빌은 아이의상실을 의미하고 또한 새로운 생명에 대한 기대를 의미하기도한다.
이 작품을 통해서 유산을 경험한 여성들에게 조금이라도 위안이되었으면좋겠다.
This is a story about miscarriage.
Emotions such as loss, sadness and guilt of a mother who had a miscarriage were expressed as an empty room. Empty room is a space of the womb for the baby and a room of emotion for the mother at the same time. Mother’s room was filled with sadness after miscarriage but is been vacated while overcoming it. And it’s getting filled again with the expectation for new life to come.
Baby’s room, Womb is endless space ( playground, sea and the universe ) for the baby.
Baby left it after enjoying and playing it happily.
Orgel and mobile in this animation mean the loss of a baby but also the expectation of a new life to come.
I hope this work would give little comfort to women who got miscarriage.

아름다운 날(A beautiful day)
꽃가마를 타고 시집 온 할머니가 상여를 타고 자신의 무덤으로 향하는 짧은 순간 죽은 할머니의 영혼은 꼭두(kkoktu)를 만나 자신의 과거와 현재를 여행하는 이야기이다.
100세 가까운 할머니의 인생은 한국의 격동적 시대 배경(일제시대, 한국전, 현재)을 함께 한 삶의 이야기 이기도 하다. 동양적인 환생(reincarnation)을 바탕으로 죽음이 끝이 아닌 시작을 표현하고 있다.
두 번의 전쟁을 겪으신 나의 할머니께서 살아온 인생의 수많은 날 들 중에 임종 하시는 그날이 어쩌면 또 다른 세상으로 잠시 여행을 떠나는 아름다운 날이기를 소망한다. 또한, 할머니가 사랑하는 이들과 함께 했던 순간들을 간직하고 기억하며 아름다운 죽음을 맞이하기를 간절히 바란다.

This story is about an old lady who takes her journey to the past with “Kokdu” (Wooden puppet; Koreans believe that this doll joins the deceased’s journey from this world to other world.) from the moment she passes away.
At the traditional Korean funeral, the old lady’s soul was guided by the Kokdu to the past of her life. The Kokdu has accompanied the deceased woman's soul throughout her journey with care and protection.
A beautiful day has been created by asking a question. “What is the next stage after my grandmother’s death when she has passed away
The life of old lady from the year of 1921 may be symbolized Korean turbulent history from the Japanese colonial period and Korean War to the present.
I wish she could have beautiful day when she takes the journey on her last day.
The fundamental story of this animation stems from reincarnation from oriental perspective. This may imply that the death is not only the end of our life.

샌드 퍼포먼스와 애니메이션, 페인트온글라스 기법을 이용한 뮤직 비디오로, 작가적 상상력을 바탕으로 비서사적(non-narrative)형태로 구성된 작품이다.

This short film deals with an experimental non-narrative style.
It also demonstrates the abstract imagination of the director by using sand performance and animation technique.
